I quit smoking.
This is the one and only declaration I will make on the matter. I had cut back significantly the past few months, but finally made the last pack my last pack. I always envied those people that could only have one when they were drunk or got some wild hair up their ass, and maybe that will be me someday, but in the meantime, I'm not a smoker. I miss it a little. Well, actually, once a day I truly miss it and that's on my way to work. That Ted Nugent song "stranglehold" or whatever came on when I was on the freeway and the first thing I thought was how that IS a whip-out-a-smoke kind of song- especially when you are going 70 at 4 in the morning. And I don't even like Ted Nugent on account of the temper tantrum I witnessed last summer when he threw a chair at out little producer (not like all of us didn't want to throw a chair at her ourselves, or anything, but what a baby!).
Anyway, in honor of this declaration I'm debating about going raw at least 95% for the next 3 weeks. The benefits are 3-fold:
1) It would leave me in great shape for the beach
2) It would be kind of a mental/spiriutal cleanse in a physical sense (if that makes sense) to go along with the quitting smoking
3) I've been finding myself slipping into a heavily cooked diet (I was REALLY broke this week and had to rely on a big homemade stew for sustainance. I didn't have a FRESH vegetable until last night and felt like it was my first sip of water in a week. Never again.)
I probably won't make it to 3 weeks at all-raw, but with the intention there I should be able to make some progress.
The running has been GREAT. One week without a cigarette and I've noticed that my legs get tired long before I get winded. I find it odd that my physical limits can change like that. Go know.

Yay on the running and I totally know you can kick the smoking. Raw sounds scary but then again I eat like I am 5 so don't listen to me lol.
LOL! Even I have to eat "kid food" sometimes. And by kid food I mean hot dog franks chopped up in mac n cheese with chicken nuggets... As was Christmas dinner last year...
Who doesn't love kid food?
